    LITERARY GENRES AND TERMS
    • Forms of Poetry

      Poetry is a form of literature that expresses ideas, emotions, and stories through a rhythmic and aesthetic style. Common forms include sonnets, haikus, free verse, and ballads. Each form has its own structure and conventions.

    • Drama

      Drama refers to a specific mode of fiction represented in performance. It includes various types such as tragedy, comedy, and tragicomedy. The structure typically involves acts and scenes with dialogue meant for actors.

    • Prose

      Prose is a form of written language that follows natural speech patterns without metrical structure. It encompasses both fiction and non-fiction, allowing for more detailed narration and characterization.

    • Fiction

      Fiction is a narrative created from the imagination. It includes various genres such as novels and short stories. It often explores themes, human experiences, and character development.

    • Biography

      Biography is a detailed description of a person's life, including their experiences, achievements, and contributions. It provides personal insights and historical context.

    • Literary Devices

      Literary devices are techniques used by writers to convey ideas, create meaning, and enhance storytelling. Common devices include simile, metaphor, allegory, personification, and imagery.

    • Types of Drama
